Morgan County officials say a person was killed Thursday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheel truck.

Coroner Jeff Chunn has confirmed one fatality at the crash on Alabama 67 near Shoal Creek Road.

The victim’s name has not yet been released.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said the crash snarled traffic on both sides of the highway for several hours.

Authorities are investigating.
