Vote for the Hollis Wright Birmingham area top football performance for Week 5

The Hollis Wright Birmingham high school football Player of the Week will be chosen by fans voting for the top performances in the area.

Voting closes at 11 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

Ray Albright, Vincent: Had 16 tackles, including three for-loss against B.B. Comer.

Dominic Bruce, Wenonah: Ran nine times for 188 yards and three touchdowns and grabbed a pass for 10 yards against Jasper.

Jebron Ellington, Hueytown: Completed 15-of-17 passes for 229 yards and here TDs, adding seven runs for 104 yards and two scores, amassing 323 total yards and five touchdowns.

Jay Fuller, Oak Grove: Ran six times for 281 yards and 4 touchdowns against Curry.

Malik Muhammad, Parker: Was 6-of-12 passing for 120 yards and a score, adding 180 yards on 10 rushing attempts with a 1-yard scoring run against Gardendale.

Will Myers, Homewood: Completed 11-of-12 passes for 123 yards and a score, adding 11 rushes for 81 yards and two touchdowns against Benjamin Russell.

Marquel Patterson, Ramsay: Had 17 tackles with three TFL against Fairfield.

Gerrell Perry, Banks: Was 7-of-11 passing for 346 yards and four touchdowns against Coosa Valley.

Austin Reid, Corner: Contributed eight total tackles with four TFL and three sacks against Dora.

Jordan Ross, Vestavia Hills: Led the defense with 12 tackles, including three TFL, five sacks and a pass breakup against Spain Park.

DeJarvis Wade, Carver: Completed 25-of-45 passes for 389 yards and two TDs, adding a 14-yard scoring catch against John Carroll.

Jordan Washington, Helena: Ran for 307 yards on 31 carries with four touchdowns against Pelham.

Matthew Yafondo, Fultondale: Had 20 tackles with three for-loss, adding a point-after kick against Oneonta.
