An Altoona woman was killed Saturday night when she was struck while walking down a highway in that north Alabama city, troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report.

Catie K. Caudle, 33, was in the roadway and was fatally injured after being struck by a 2012 Jeep Wrangler driven by a 64-year-old Altoona woman, according to an ALEA press release. The crash happend at 7:06 p.m. Saturday on Alabama 132 near the 9 mile marker, within the Altoona city limits, according to the statement.

Caudle was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the press release.

No other information is available as troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the crash.
