1 Reception for minus-1 yard for Mississippi State RB Jo’quavious “Woody” Marks in the Bulldogs’ 41-14 loss to LSU last week. The reception lifted Marks out of a tie with Fred Ross at 199 for the school record for career receptions and made him the 12th player in SEC history with 200 receptions. Ross has 200 receptions for 1,148 yards and three touchdowns for Mississippi State.

9 Consecutive seasons have featured a loss for South Carolina in its first conference home game. The Gamecocks haven’t won their first SEC game in Williams-Brice Stadium in any season since 2013, when they defeated Vanderbilt 35-25 on Sept. 14. Since then, South Carolina has lost to Kentucky three times, Texas A&M twice and Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee once apiece in its first conference home game.

It was Rogers’ smallest passing total since the first game of his career, when he came in for starter K.J. Costello and passed for 43 yards in a 24-2 loss to Kentucky on Oct. 10, 2020. With 11,181 passing yards, Rogers ranks sixth in SEC history.

325 Rushing yards for Mississippi State RB Jo’quavious Marks on 51 carries with three TDs. Marks is first in the SEC in rushing yards. RB Dakereon Joyner leads South Carolina with 75 rushing yards. Joyner has 28 carries and three TDs this season.

367 Receiving yards for South Carolina WR Xavier Legette, who has 22 receptions and one TD in 2023. Legette is second in the SEC in receiving yards. WR Lideatrick Griffin leads Mississippi State with 132 receiving yards. Griffin has 13 receptions and two TDs this season.

1,203 Career completions for Mississippi State QB Will Rogers, 282 more than any other player in SEC history. Rogers also holds the conference record for career passes with 1,713, the most in SEC history by 160.
