Huntsville police say apartment complex fire was arson

Huntsville police say an apartment complex fire that displaced dozens of residents was intentionally set.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in solving a suspected arson last Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 6216 Rime Village.

Huntsville Fire & Rescue and police responded to the area at about 2:45 p.m. One building was engulfed in flames.

Investigators are now seeking information from residents who were in the area that day and may have seen anyone or anything suspicious.

WHNT reported that 16 to 20 people were displaced by the fire and two people were hospitalized.
