5 Consecutive losses for South Carolina in its first conference game of the season, the longest such losing streak in the Gamecocks’ history in any league.
5 Consecutive games have featured at least 40 points for Georgia, tied for the most in school history. The Bulldogs defeated LSU 50-30 in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 3, Ohio State 42-41 in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl on Dec. 31, TCU 65-7 in the CFP national-championship game on Jan. 9, UT Martin 48-7 on Sept. 2 and Ball State 45-3 on Sept. 9. That tied the school record set in 2012 when Georgia opened the season by beating Buffalo 45-23, Missouri 41-20, Florida Atlantic 56-20, Vanderbilt 48-3 and Tennessee 51-44 before a 35-7 loss to South Carolina. There have been seven streaks of at least six games with 40 or more points by SEC teams, with Texas A&M’s 13-game streak during the 2012 and 2013 seasons the longest in league history.

8 Times since South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992, the Gamecocks have given Georgia its first loss of the season. South Carolina pinned the first defeat on the Bulldogs in 1993, 2000, 2001, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2019.
8 Consecutive conference openers have been won by Georgia. The Bulldogs’ most recent 0-1 record in SEC play came in 2014, when South Carolina beat Georgia 38-35 on Sept. 13.
19 Consecutive victories for Georgia, the longest winning streak in program history by two games. Georgia’s most recent loss was a 41-24 setback against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 4, 2021.
19 Consecutive conference regular-season games have been won by Georgia. The Bulldogs have had one longer winning streak in SEC play. A 23-game streak across the 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983 seasons was ended by a 13-7 loss to Auburn on Nov. 12, 1983. Georgia has the seventh conference winning streak in SEC history that has reached 19 games. The record is a 26-game SEC streak achieved by Alabama across the 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979 and 1980 seasons.
23 Victories and seven losses for Georgia when a ranked Bulldogs team plays an unranked South Carolina team. The unranked Gamecocks upset ranked Georgia teams in 1978, 1984, 1989, 1998, 2000, 2007 and 2019.
25 Consecutive September games have been won by Georgia, dating from a 45-14 loss to Ole Miss on Sept. 24, 2016.
29 Consecutive regular-season games have been won by Georgia, tied for the second-longest streak in SEC history. The Bulldogs haven’t lost in the regular season since a 44-28 setback against Florida on Nov. 7, 2020. The longest regular-season winning streak in SEC history lasted 33 games, which Tennessee achieved between a 13-7 loss to Vanderbilt on Nov. 13, 1937, and a 19-0 loss to Duke on Oct. 4, 1941. The only other regular-season winning streak in the SEC as long as Georgia’s current one reached 29 games, achieved by Alabama between a 17-10 loss to Auburn on Nov. 24, 2007, and a 35-21 loss to South Carolina on Oct. 9, 2010.
54 Victories for Georgia, 19 for South Carolina and two ties in the Bulldogs-Gamecocks series. Since South Carolina joined the SEC in 1992, the Bulldogs lead the series 21-10.
296 Receiving yards for South Carolina WR Xavier Legette two games into the 2023 season. Last season, Legette had 18 receptions for 167 yards and three TDs in 13 games. This season, Legette has had nine receptions for 178 yards in a 31-17 loss to North Carolina on Sept. 2 and six receptions for 118 yards and one TD in a 47-21 victory over Furman last week.
361 Games have been played by Georgia since it was most recently shut out, the second-longest scoring streak in SEC history and the sixth-longest in major-college football history. The Bulldogs haven’t been blanked since losing to Alabama 31-0 on Sept. 30, 1995.
