Robert Shiver, ex-Auburn player targeted in alleged murder-for-hire scheme, dating reality star

Robert Shiver, the former Auburn player and target of an alleged murder-for-hire plot, is now dating a reality star.

Reality star Savannah Chrisley, 26, known for the USA Network series “Chrisley Knows Best,” revealed her relationship with Shiver, 38, while appearing on The Viall Files podcast this week.

“This guy that I’m talking to, his wife just tried to kill,” Chrisley told host Nick Viall. “It’s fine.”

Chrisley said she and Shiver, a father of three, are “getting to know each other.” She reached out through Instagram after reading about the alleged murder-for-hire plot.

“I like the DMs,” Chrisley said. “He’s too hot to die. Look, the picture with his kids? He was so good-looking.”

Lindsay Shiver, a 36-year-old former Miss Houston County in Dothan and a mother of three sons, was arrested on charges that she, her lover and another man conspired to kill her husband, Shiver. The couple has a vacation home in the Bahamas.

Also charged are Terrance Bethel, a 28-year-old bar manager with whom Shiver is reportedly involved romantically, and Faron Newbold Jr., 29. All three were arrested on July 21.

The alleged murder plot was uncovered when authorities were investigating a break-in at a bar in Guana Cay. Messages discovered on social media app WhatsApp led to the criminal charges against the trio, but the details of those messages have not been released.
