One person died following a three-vehicle crash in Mobile Sunday evening.

Mobile police said the incident happened at about 8:12 p.m. at the intersection of Schillinger Road and Howells Ferry Road.

According to police, Bethany Pilot, 26, was traveling east on Howells Ferry Road, crossing Schillinger Road. A second vehicle was also heading east on Howells Ferry, turning north onto Schillinger Road. A third vehicle traveling north on Schillinger Road crossed Howells Ferry, resulting in a collision with Pilot’s vehicle, which impacted the second vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers discovered Pilot had been ejected from her vehicle. She was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and later was pronounced dead. The other individuals involved were also transported to the hospital with minor injuries.

This incident is currently under investigation.
