Five local stories you might have missed in the Huntsville Lede

Did you catch the Lede last week? Here just five news stories from the Huntsville area that you might have missed if you didn’t.

· In our Sunday Q&A HSV State Senator Tom Butler talked about how the fight to preserve the famously deteriorating rest stop rocket is not over yet.

· Scott Turner, the Lede reporter in Huntsville, jumped into our new Political Connections series by asking 5 Questions with Huntsville State Rep. Rex Reynolds

· Turner also continued his ongoing coverage of growth in the Huntsville area with a story about how new schools are needed in the city, but it’s up in the air where they will be built.

· We continued with week 2 of the every-Friday Lede College Football Picks contest.

· Continuing our coverage of what’s being built where, Turner wrote about more than $62 million in permits issued for projects in the Huntsville area.

There’s a lot more in every issue of the daily Lede. And each edition has a page designed to tell you how to navigate The Lede. It even has a cool YouTube video.

The Lede is a work in progress, and we’re making it better every day. We want to hear from you. Suggestions? Constructive criticism? Stories you’d like to see? Questions about your community? Something for us to look into that will make your life better? Send me a note at [email protected].
