Former Alabama players among social media reaction to Crimson Tide trailing Texas

Well, here’s something you don’t see very often.

No. 3 Alabama trails at home to No. 11 Texas at home, 13-6. A Quinn Ewers’ 44-yard pass to Xavier Worthy and a couple of Bert Auburn field goals have Matthew McConaughey pumped.

“I just think we’re playing loose and free and confident football,” Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said at halftime. “We missed a couple opportunities, but I liked the mentality of our team, I liked the way we’re playing.”

He was asked about containing Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe, but he didn’t take the bait.

“Well, we haven’t contained him good enough, so we’ve got to do a better job of securing our edges when we’re rushing and squeeze the pocket a little bit more,” he said. “But I love the way our defense is playing right now, we’re getting some pretty good stops.”

With a half of football left, there are plenty of questions being asked by those on social media, including former Alabama players.
