Rural USPS mail carrier killed in wreck on her route in Alabama

A rural mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service died in a wreck Friday along her route in Alabama, authorities said.

Hannah Denae Lindsey, 32, was driving a 1998 Chevrolet Lumina that was struck by a pickup truck around 10 a.m. Friday in Covington County, WDHN reported, citing River Falls police.

Lindsey, a rural route carrier for the USPS, was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on Alabama Highway 55 near U.S. Highway 84, WAKA reported.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, according to WDHN.
