Pensacola man, 74, arrested for fifth time for exposing himself to children

A 74-year-old Pensacola man who already served three prison terms for exposing himself to children was arrested last Saturday inside a Home Depot after reportedly exposing himself to a group of children ages 5-12, according to an arrest report obtained by WEAR in Pensacola.

Lloyd Allen is charged with exposure of sexual organs and violating the terms of his status as a sex offender, which requires him to refrain from loitering within 300 feet of children. He remained in the Escambia County (Fla.) Jail as of Friday under $12,500 bond. He has a court date of Sept. 22.

According to the report, another man was inside the Home Depot on W. Nine Mile Road with his grandson when he spotted Allen crouching down in an aisle and watching a group of children in the next aisle. The man told Escambia County deputies Allen was touching himself on the outside of his clothes.

The man also told deputies Allen walked a way for a moment before returning, at which point he allegedly unfastened his pants and exposed himself within 20 feet of the group of 10-15 children. The witness grabbed Allen and walked him outside until deputies arrived.

The Florida Department of Corrections database classifies Allen as a sexual predator who has been convicted four times (2001, 2005, 2014, 2020) of lewd and lascivious exhibition in front of children 16 and under. Three of the previous arrests were in the Florida Panhandle area, with one out-of-state, according to the FDOC.

The latter three convictions resulted in Allen serving sentences in Florida prisons, including two years from June 2005 to June 2007; 17 months from Aug. 2014 to Jan. 2016; and most recently a four-month term from Feb. 2020 to June 2020.
