There was a change at the top of three classifications in this week’s Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football rankings.

The new No 1 teams are Pleasant Grove (5A), Mars Hill Bible (3A) and B.B. Comer (2A). Those teams moved up after upset losses in Week 2 by Ramsay, St. James and Fyffe, respectively

Also this week, Hoover dropped to 0-2 and fell to No. 10 in the latest Class 7A rankings. It marks the lowest ranking for the Bucs since opening the 2000 season at No. 10, according to ASWA president Stacy Long. Hoover has been ranked in 265 straight ASWA polls.
