Labor Day is a holiday celebrating the contributions made by American workers. It’s also the unofficial end of summer and many people mark the day with cookouts, family gatherings and parties.
If you are hosting a holiday gathering, you may realize you forgot a necessary item or two and, if so, you’re in luck. Most retailers are open on Labor Day but some may be on limited schedules.
Walmart, the nation’s largest retailer, is open regular hours, generally 7 a.m.-11 p.m. for Super Centers, on Monday, Sept. 4. Some services, like auto centers or pharmacies, may have different schedules so check ahead.
