Cullman man dies in single-vehicle crash early Saturday

A Cullman man was killed in a single-vehicle crash early Saturday in Cullman County, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.

Maxwell W. Ratcliff, 24, was driving a 2021 Dodge Ram that left the roadway and struck a tree. Ratcliff was transported to Cullman Regional Hospital, where he died from his injuries. The wreck happened about 12:20 a.m.

Passengers Calvin A. McNabb, 24, and Cole D. MacDonald, 24, both of Bremen, were injured and transported to area hospitals.

The crash happened on Cullman County 107 about two miles northwest of Cold Springs. ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
