2 arrested for North Alabama burglary after neighbor holds them at gunpoint, sheriff says

Two people were arrested on burglary charges after Morgan County authorities said a neighbor held the duo at gunpoint until deputies arrived.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office said the incident happened Friday. Deputies responded to a burglary-in-progress call at a residence on Alabama 36 near Union Hill Road.

They arrived to find a neighbor, whose name was not released, holding two people at gunpoint.

Investigators charged Brandon Dewayne Henry, 34 of Somerville, with two counts of third degree burglary, along with two outstanding warrants. His bond was $6,149.

Marquita Jo Holt, 39, of Somerville, was also charged with two counts of third degree burglary. Her bond was set at $5,000.

Both subjects were booked into the Morgan County Jail.
