Walmart’s newly remodeled Neighborhood Market on Center Point Parkway will reopen Friday.

The store, at 1916 Center Point Pkwy., will reopen at 9 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration.

Among the new additions are updated signs, new LED lighting, new paint and flooring throughout the entire store, remodeled bathrooms and an increased numbers of self-checkout lanes and manned registers.

There are also additional pharmacy windows.

“The modernization of the store represents the Walmart brand well, and customers will have a better shopping experience because the last update at the location was in 2004,” Sherry Sullivan, interim store manager, said.

Walmart has remodeled several stores in Alabama recently, including Hoover, Huntsville, Fairhope, and Hazel Green.
