A crash early Sunday near Montgomery claimed the life of a Wetumpka man, according to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.

Rodriquez M. Edwards, 33, of Wetumpka died after his vehicle left the road, overturned and caught on fire at 2:51 a.m. Sunday. The single-vehicle crash happened on Alabama River Parkway about two miles north of Montgomery.

Edwards was driving a 2013 Toyota Avalon, according to the press release. The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol Division.
