Man seriously injured in Jefferson County shooting; girlfriend jailed on $150,000 bond

A shooting in Jefferson County Saturday evening left a man seriously injured, and his girlfriend behind bars.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 5:17 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 2900 block of Sartain Drive. That area is in unincorporated Jefferson County near Adamsville.

Once on the scene, deputies found a wounded man. He told them after a dispute with his girlfriend, she came out of the house with a gun and shot him while he and his friends were inside a car attempting to leave, said Deputy Chief David Agee.

The victim was taken to the hospital. He is in serious condition.

The girlfriend – 41-year-old Alicia Dawn Frazier – is charged with two counts of attempted murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle.

Frazier was booked into the county jail at 10:08 p.m. She remains held on bonds totaling $150,000.
