South Alabama sets home-and-home with Middle Tennessee
South Alabama will play a football home-and-home series with Middle Tennessee State for 2027-28, AL.com has confirmed.
The Jaguars will tentatively host the Blue Raiders at Hancock Whitney Stadium on Sept. 18, 2027, then travel to Johnny “Red” Floyd Stadium in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Sept. 23, 2028. The teams have met once in football, with Middle Tennessee — a former member of the Sun Belt Conference now in Conference USA — beating South Alabama 20-12 at Mobile’s Ladd-Peebles Stadium in 2012.
