Authorities ID body wrapped in plastic discovered on North Alabama riverbank
Jackson County authorities have identified a body found wrapped in plastic last Friday in Lake Guntersville.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said the death of Jamari Jajuan Moore, ,25, of Scottsboro has been classified as a homicide.
Moore’s body was found near the border between Marshall and Jackson County last Friday afternoon at about 1 p.m. by a fisherman off County Road 67, just before South Sauty Creek near Langston.
The investigation is currently being handled by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Scottsboro police, with assistance from the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, Jackson County District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
