President Donald Trump is back on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter. What’s the post? His already infamous mugshot taken in Fulton County, Georgia.

Just hours after being booked on charges including racketeering, conspiracy, false statements and asking a public official to violate their oath of office, Trump posted the police image to his long silent @realDonaldTrump account.

The photo shows a glowering Trump staring at the camera. The top of his post says “Mug Shot – August 24, 2023 – and underneath “Election Interference, Never Surrender! DonaldJTrump.com”

The post quickly picked up more than 200,000 likes.

Trump’s return to the platform elicited a surge of comments.

CNN Chief Correspondent Kailan Collins wrote, “Trump’s first post here since 1/8/21 is his mug shot from his fourth indictment.”

Others expressed excitement Trump had returned to the platform that was his preferred method of communication throughout his administration.

“The G.O.A.T. is back,” one supporter responded.

“A single photograph just won Trump the election,” another responded.
