1 killed in overnight shooting at Tuscaloosa apartment complex
An early-morning shooting in Tuscaloosa left one man dead.
Tuscaloosa police responded at 12 a.m. Thursday to Water Oak Apartments on Hargrove Road East on a report of a shooting.
Officers arrived to find the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Capt. Jack Kennedy said a second male remained on the scene and told police he was involved with the shooting.
“Issues of possible self-defense have been raised and are being investigated,’’ Kennedy said.
