Heat advisories expand in Alabama on Tuesday

More above-average temperatures are expected in Alabama again on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

High temperatures are expected to climb into the mid- to upper 90s across a large part of the state today.

Those temperatures combined with higher humidity levels in some places will make it feel a lot hotter — up to 111 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Heat advisories will be in effect today for all of north and central Alabama and along Alabama’s Gulf Coast. More heat advisories will be in effect on Wednesday, when it could be a degree or two hotter in some spots.

South Alabama, however, will be locked into the mid- to upper 90s into next week, unfortunately.
