Former Auburn basketball commit includes Bama in final 4
Former Baker star point guard and reigning Alabama Mr. Basketball Labaron Philon has narrowed his college choices to four.
The former Auburn commit told On3 sports that his finalists are Alabama, Ole Miss, Cincinnati and Kansas.
Philon, a 6-foot-4 point guard, transferred to Link Academy in Missouri for his final year. He committed to Auburn in February but de-committed in April after Tiger assistant coach Wes Flanigan left for Ole Miss.
He is scheduled to visit Ole Miss in September and hopes to visit Alabama and Cincinnati in the fall as well.
Philon had scored 2,334 points during his high school career. He is ranked the No. 27 senior player in the nation, according to 247 sports.
A two-time Class 7A Player of the Year, Philon averaged 35 points, six rebounds and four assists per game for Baker as a junior and finished the season with 1,075 points.
