Mobile and Alabama Stock Report has its ups and downs
A handful of small gains and a few chunky declines were the story of Thursday’s Mobile and Alabama Stock Report.
The biggest number came on the negative side with Enviva dropping 5.7%.
Also dropping more than 2% were Community Health Systems (3.2%), Boeing (2.4%), GE (2.3%) and Encompass Health (2.1%).
Target (1.1%), 3M (1%) and ArcelorMittal (.7%) led the gainers.
Overall, Wall Street fell for a third straight day Thursday as rising yields in the bond market keep cranking up the pressure.
The S&P 500 sank 33.97, or 0.8%, to 4,370.36, and August is on track to be its worst month of the year by far. The Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped 290.91 points, or 0.8%, to 34,474.83, and the Nasdaq composite fell 157.70, or 1.2%, to 13,316.93.
