Male charged with abuse of corpse after body found Friday in north Alabama home
A body was found Friday at a home at the bottom of Grant Mountain in north Alabama as authorities executed a search warrant, leading to abuse of a corpse charges against a Guntersville resident.
The body was discovered on Stuart Hollow Road in Guntersville, Marshall County Sheriff Phil Sims said Friday.
Patrick Gerald Seals, of Guntersville, was charged with abuse of a corpse in connection with the incident, the sheriff said.
The body has yet to be identified; it will be transported to the state Department of Forensics for an autopsy.
The case remained under investigation and additional charges and arrests “will be forthcoming,” Sims said.
