Take a look at these sandals fashioned by an Alabama jail inmate
An enterprising inmate at the Morgan County Jail in Decatur apparently spent part of their time well, creating a pair of sandals from discarded items.
A post on the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page shared photos of the fascinating footwear, fashioned from a towel, garbage bag and some old soles, according to the agency.
“We see an etsy store in their future,” the sheriff’s office commented.
Unfortunately for the inmate, the shoes were confiscated as contraband, sheriff’s office spokesman Mike Swafford said.
The jail, which can old up to 994 inmates, usually has a daily population of about 620, according to the website.
