“I’m excited to join an incredible lineup of speakers in Madison County at our Get Out The Vote rally,” Britt said in Friday’s announcement. “It’s an honor to have Sen. Marsha Blackburn on hand to outline how important this upcoming general election is. We are looking forward to visiting with everyone and discussing what’s at stake on Nov. 8.
“It’s time to send a message loud and clear to Washington D.C. that we’ve had enough of President Biden’s radical agenda that puts hardworking Alabama families last, whether it is generationally high inflation, a historic border crisis or the devastating flood of fentanyl into our communities. This is the ‘Year of the Parent’ and people across our great state know that our future is on the ballot. Together, we will preserve the American dream for our children and our children’s children.”
In addition to Ainsworth, state leaders expected to be at the event include Speaker of the House Mac McCutcheon, Senate Majority Leader Clay Scofield and House Majority Leader Nathaniel Ledbetter.
Britt faces Democrat Will Boyd and Libertarian John Sophocleus in the election seeking to fill the seat held by retiring Sen. Richard Shelby.
