A child was hit by a vehicle Monday afternoon in Birmingham.

The wreck happened at 4:15 p.m. in the 3000 block of 29th Avenue North, according to Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service.

The boy was taken to Children’s of Alabama. The extent of the injuries wasn’t immediately available.
