A weekend crash in Hale County left a man dead, and three other people, including a child, injured.

The wreck happened at 1:50 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 80, about five miles east of Demopolis.

Alabama State Trooper Cpl. Reginal King said James S. Lynn, 60, of Winfield, was driving a Toyota Camry that was struck by a Dodge Charger driven by Jasmiene R. Scott, 23, of Demopolis.

James Lynn was pronounced dead on the scene. His passenger, Cheryl Lynn, was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Scott and a 3-year-old in her vehicle were taken to an undisclosed hospital.

The investigation is ongoing by troopers.
