‘Superfan’ gameshow premiere: How to watch, where to live stream

The all new CBS gameshow Superfan is set to premiere Wednesday, Aug. 9 at 9/8c.

According to CBS, Superfan is a new one-hour unscripted series that features six music superstars as they each crown their biggest fan. Confirmed stars to appear during the first season include Kelsea Ballerini, Gloria Estefan, Little Big Town, LL COOL J, Pitbull and Shania Twain.

The musical game show will feature contestants vying in multiple rounds of play to prove they are their favorite artist’s most devoted supporter. During each episode, a different musical artist will select one deserving superfan to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize.

Where can I watch the Superfan series premiere without cable?

Those who have already ditched basic cable can still live stream the premiere of Superfan with FuboTV, DirecTV Stream or Paramount+ with Showtime.

If you’re unsure which streaming service to go with, here’s the breakdown.

What is Paramount+ with Showtime?

The Paramount+ with Showtime bundle costs users $11.99 per month and is replacing Paramount+’s premium ad-free plan, which was $9.99. Existing premium subscribers will automatically be upgraded to Paramount+ with Showtime, according to reports from TechCrunch.

Although not a live streaming service, Paramount+ allows users to live stream certain content as it premieres on regular television with the premium subscription, such as new episodes of Big Brother and Survivor.

Paramount+ Essential subscribers will not be able to live stream the premiere, but will have the option the stream the series on-demand the day after it premieres.

What is FuboTV and DirecTV Stream?

Both FuboTV and DirecTV Stream are meant for those looking for an alternative to a regular cable subscription. Both are great options for those who love to watch sports, news and other live TV events.

FuboTV considers itself a sports-focused streaming service, but overall, its standard package comes with over 100 live channels for $74.99 a month after its free trial. These channels include ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS, TLC, MTV and much more.

FuboTV also comes with a variety of shows and movies users can watch on-demand along with the option to record your favorite TV shows.

DirecTV Stream is similar to FuboTV in that it offers many of the same channels and features. At $74.99 a month, its base package comes with a little over 75 live channels.
