One person was killed and multiple others were injured in a two-boat crash on Halls Mill Creek near Dog River Sunday night, according to Mobile Fire-Rescue.

Marine rescue units, engine companies and medical personnel responded to the area of Halls Mill Creek and Shadow Wood Court Sunday night about 8:41 p.m. on a report of a water accident.

MFRD said one victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while two others were treated for what were described as serious injuries and transported to a local hospital. Three others were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The identity of the deceased victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The Mobile Police Department will investigate the circumstances of the crash, MFRD said.
