21-year-old charged in fatal shooting of teen brother in Chilton County
A Chilton County man has been charged in the shooting death of his teen brother.
Thomas James Robinson, 21, is charged with manslaughter. Killed was 14-year-old Bryan Scarbrough.
Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon said the shooting happened at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at a residence on County Road 28.
The sheriff said Robinson was playing with the gun when it discharged, killing his younger brother. Bryan was pronounced dead on the scene.
Robinson is also charged first-degree sodomy of a child under the age of 12 and first-degree sexual abuse of a child under 12. Shearon said the child sex charges are unrelated to the fatal shooting.
