Recruiting update: Pleasant Grove QB commits to Wofford, more news
Pleasant Grove quarterback Eric Handley announced today his commitment to Wofford.
The 6-2, 185-pound senior is a 3-star prospect who was 133-of-200 passing last season for 2,506 yards and 33 touchdowns., adding another three scores running. He was selected second-team ASWA all-state.
The son of Fultondale head coach Keon, Handley chose the Terriers over Kentucky, UAB, Troy, Austin, Peay, New Mexico and more.

OFFERS
Ramsay 3-star linebacker QB Reese picked up his first SEC offer, adding Alabama to the list of schools. The 6-foot, 215-pound senior linebacker also has offers from Arkansas State, Navy, Central Florida, Liberty, Navy, North Alabama and more.
Another Birmingham City Schools player, Na’eem Offord of Parker, added Florida to his impressive list. The 6-1, 185-pound cornerback is a 4-star junior prospect with offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Missouri, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Clemson, USC, Texas, Penn State, Florida State, Miami and more.
Southside-Selma 4-star prospect Derick Smith picked hp an SEC offer with LSU. The 6-2, 180-pound receiver also has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Georgia, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Michigan, Penn State, Texas and Miami among others.
A 6-4, 230-pound defensive end from James Clemens, Jaylen Brown added a Houston offer. The senior also has offers from Missouri, Maryland, Jacksonville State, Arkansas State, Tennessee-Martin, Austin Peay and more.
Shades Valley 6-1, 215-pound senior linebacker Ethan Johnson picked up an offer from Arkansas State to go along with others from Marshall, Coastal Carolina, Army and more.
Pleasant Grove receiver Clarence Taylor announced an offer from Memphis, addling to a list the includes Georgia Tech, Austin Peay and more for the 3-star junior.
COMMITMENTS
Mae Jemison senior offensive lineman Malachi Harris committed to Austin Peay. The 6-3, 320-pound Harris, who transferred from Anniston, also has offers from Kentucky, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Louisville, UAB and Western Kentucky.
BASKETBALL
The offers mount for Thompson freshman Jayla Forbes, adding Alabama to the list. The 6-7 post player also has offers from Mississippi State, Auburn and Ole Miss.
