1 arrested in connection with 2 ATVs driving wrong way on Interstate 65
Morgan County authorities have arrested one person after they say two ATVs drove on Interstate 65, occasionally going the wrong way.
According to the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a report Tuesday morning of two possibly stolen Polaris ATVs traveling recklessly southbound on the interstate.
The vehicles failed to yield to lights and sirens and attempted to elude, deputies said, driving at times southbound in the northbound lanes.
The vehicles were stopped near exits 310 and 308 with help from Cullman police, the sheriff’s office said.
One person was taken into custody while the other fled on foot, according to authorities.
An investigation is continuing.
