Choctaw County woman killed in multi-vehicle crash on Highway 17

A 49-year-old Choctaw County woman was killed in a four-car crash on Highway 17 Wednesday afternoon, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced Friday.

ALEA said the accident took place on Alabama 17 within the Butler City limits about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday.

A 2016 Toyota 4-Runner driven by 73-year-old Michael D. Perry of Moss Point, Miss., struck a 2016 Ford DRW pickup being driven by Michael D. Hallman, 38, of Niceville, Fla.

The initial collision resulted in the 4-Runner being hit by a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a 17-year-old, with the Ford pickup striking a 2021 Toyota CH-R driven by 49-year-old Dawn B. Clark of Toxey, Ala.

Clark was pronounced dead at the scene, while Perry, Hallman and the 17-year-old were all transported to a local hospital for treatment. Information on their conditions was not readily available.

ALEA says the accident is still under investigation.
