A 47-year-old man was killed when he was thrown from the three-wheel motorcycle he was riding in Mobile early Friday morning.

According to Mobile police, officers were summoned to the intersection of Mobile Street and Prichard Avenue on a report of an accident shortly after 6 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the crashed three-wheel motorcycle and the deceased victim, identified as Antoine Dennis.

Preliminary investigation suggests Dennis was traveling north on Mobile Street and lost control of the motorcycle as he attempted to turn right onto eastbound Prichard Avenue.

The accident remains under investigation.
