A homicide investigation is underway after a 25-year-old man shot more than a month ago has died.

William Coachman was shot June 22. It was about 3:05 p.m. that Thursday when Montgomery police and medics were called to the 5100 block of Carmichael Road on a report of a person shot.

Coachman was taken to the hospital, where he remained until he died Wednesday, June 26.

Maj. Saba Coleman said the circumstances surround the shooting remain under investigation.
