A 41-year-old man was killed Saturday afternoon after the ATV he was a passenger in was involved in a single-vehicle crash in south Alabama, authorities said Wednesday.

Roderick D. Dennis, 41, sustained fatal injuries when he came off the back of a 2022 Honda Rubicon he was riding in around 2:30 p.m. Saturday on Old Sage Road, about six miles south of Repton, in Conecuh County, said Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Sgt. Jeremy Burkett.

The driver of the ATV stopped once Dennis came off the back of the vehicle.

Dennis was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, Burkett said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Further information was unavailable as state troopers continued to investigate the crash.
