Two men were killed in separate shootings over the weekend in Montgomery.

Montgomery police on Monday identified the victims as Celso Martinez, 46, and Fernando Edwards, 27.

About 4 a.m. Friday, police and fire medics responded to the 4900 block of Plaza Drive on a report of a person shot.

Maj. Saba Coleman said Martinez was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead on Saturday.

No additional details have been released surrounding the deadly shooting.

Edwards showed up wounded at a hospital just before 9:30 p.m. Sunday. Investigators determined the shooting happened in the 600 block of North Pass Road.

Coleman did not release any additional information about the circumstances surrounding Edwards’ death.

No arrests have been announced in either case.
