A Montgomery man has been charged with capital murder after a 41-year-old man died after being shot Friday morning, police said.

Kendrick Moorer, 28, of Montgomery, is being held in the county jail without bond, said Maj. Saba Coleman with Montgomery police.

Police and fire medics responded to the 6100 block of Eric Lane around 10 a.m. Friday.

Officers found 41-year-old Craig Adair, also of Montgomery, with a life-threatening gunshot wound at the scene.

Adair was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Further information on the slaying was not released. Police said the investigation was ongoing.
