One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Athens Thursday night.

Athens police said the incident happened at about 9:32 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 31 and Golden Eagle Drive.

Police responding to a two-vehicle crash found Sean Patrick Cavender, 36, of Mulvane, Kan., dead at the scene. 

The driver of the other vehicle received minor injuries. 

Police are investigating.
