Woman charged in shooting of another woman in Moody
A 37-year-old woman is behind bars following a shooting in Moody that left another woman injured.
Rebecca Armstrong, of Moody, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle and reckless endangerment.
She is being held without bond in the St. Clair County Jail.
Moody Police Chief Reece Smith said officers were dispatched about 5 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Highway 411 and Kerr Road on a report of a person possibly shot. They began canvassing the area with information provided by dispatchers.
Police then located a woman inside a vehicle that had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. She was alert.
The victim was taken to UAB Hospital where Smith said she is in stable condition.
Smith has not disclosed a motive.
