SEC hype video welcomes Texas, Oklahoma, features clips of college greats, Matthew McConaughey
Throughout SEC media days in Nashville this week league coaches have passed on questions about the 2024, the year Texas and Oklahoma join the conference.
Coaches, instead, choose to focus on the upcoming season.
While mum’s the word for coaches, the conference has no problem looking to the following season. The SEC released a hype video Wednesday, welcoming the Longhorns, the Sooners and the tradition and revelry both stories programs bring with them to the league.
“In one year, the best conference in college football will get even better,” the video states. “More titles. More legends. More magic. More traditions. More rivalries. It just means more.”
Some of the highlights include Vince Young, Ricky Williams, Bob Stoops, Kyler Murray, Barry Switzer, Billy Sims and Earl Campbell. There are too many college football greats to name but take a look at the video. You might even catch actor – and Texas fan – Matthew McConaughey.
Of course, some of the staples of the SEC are included as well.
The video ends with a tip of the cap to ABC.
