Fairhope police confirm they are investigating a death that occurred Saturday after a missing person call earlier in the day.

Authorities have ruled out foul play.

The department responded to the call at 3:32 p.m. of a missing person who was last seen walking on a pier at the end of Molokai Lane in Fairhope. The city’s volunteer fire department, along with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and Daphne Search and Rescue responded to assist.

Identification has not been released pending family notification.
