The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Friday identified the woman as Tomeik Keyshun Mosley. She was 48 and lived in Birmingham.

Authorities said Mosley was walking across Ninth Avenue North at Brewer Drive at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when she was struck by a white Hyundai sedan.

The car stopped, but the driver fled on foot.
