The young teen killed in a weekend shooting has now been identified.
According to court records made public Tuesday, 15-year-old Victor Flores was killed early Sunday in a shooting that also injured six other people, including at least one more juvenile.
The gunfire erupted just after 1 a.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Gardendale Drive in Montgomery.
Police Maj. Saba Coleman said officers arrived at the location and found the 15-year-old dead.
While on the scene, officers located three additional victims with non-life-threatening wounds and a fourth with life-threatening injuries. All four were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
When officers went to the hospital, they discovered two more victims – an adult male and a juvenile male – both of whom sustained non-life-threatening gunshots wounds. They had been taken to the hospital by private vehicle.
Baltazar Barrera and Luis Barrera (Montgomery County Detention Facility)
Police on Monday night announced capital murder charges against Luis Barrera and Baltazar Barrera, both 20.
Jail records state that the fatal shooting is a capital crime because the shots were fired from a vehicle.
Both suspects were taken into custody by members of the Special Operations Division and homicide detectives. They are being held without bond in the Montgomery County Detention Facility.
Additional charges are pending, Coleman said.
A motive has not been disclosed.
Baltazar Barrera was already out of jail on bond in connection with an April shooting that left another man with gunshot wounds to the hand and thigh, court records show.
