A Madison woman died in a crash Monday night near Decatur.

Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey of the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the one-vehicle crash happened at about 9:40 p.m. on Bill Garrett Road near Airport Road, about three miles north of Decatur in Limestone County.

Danielle L. Finley, 48, was injured when the 2022 Toyota Tacoma that she was driving left the roadway and struck a tree.

According to Bailey, Finley was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
