Shooting in Pleasant Grove leaves 1 teen wounded, another in custody
A shooting in Pleasant Grove left one teen injured and another in custody.
Officers were dispatched about 8 p.m. Saturday to a report of gunfire in the 1000 block of 10th Street, said Chief Danny Reid.
They arrived to find a 16-year-old boy who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. He was taken by paramedics to Children’s of Alabama.
Reid said a 14-year-old boy was taken into custody. He is facing criminal charges through Jefferson County’s Family Court.
The chief said because of their ages, no additional information will be released.
